H

suppose an impressionist
dared immortalize you
on stretched canvas and easel

brushstrokes damp in sepia
and something called
Zap Green

I could frame you
closer to the bone
than marrow

your air
the resurrection
of a hanged man

  4. nice piece. It's terrificly stark and suggestive both. I wonder. have you read "the resuscitation of a hanged man" by Denis Johnson, granted it's far different than a resurrection, but you'd likely enjoy it if you haven't.

  5. I haven't, but the title intrigues me for obvious reasons. I will check it out. :-)
